Renewable Energy Heat Sources

Renewable energy heat sources

What is renewable energy?

Renewable energy is energy derived from natural sources that are replenished at a higher rate than they are consumed. Sunlight and wind, for example, are such sources that are constantly being replenished.

40% of our electrical energy in New Zealand comes from renewable sources. We rely heavily on renewables, such as hydro, geothermal and wind to produce our electricity.

Wood is a renewable resource, which means that additional resources can be grown to replace any wood that is cut down.
